Matthew 28:16-20

Com-mission Impossible: Your Job, Should You Decide to Accept It ...

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Cartoon Cool Stuff

This is commonly known as the great commission, and only found in Matthew, it is what all the gospels are about. Seems like the commission could have been given in the upper room. Perhaps a mountain is selected because God, on more than one occasion, liked to give instruction there. Perhaps it's only appropriate that they have a view of the whole world, before they are sent out to preach to it! How's the view from where you live?
